Apparently WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter was offered a sponsorship deal with Hasbro for the G.I. Joe franchise that even had Vince McMahon's approval until the WWE attorneys nixed it, fearing that Jakks Pacific could sue over violating the exclusivity. WWE is still in a lame duck relationship with Jakks until their deal with Mattel starts.
