For those that did not read the spoiler lineup for WWE Breaking Point, Rey Mysterio was scheduled to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler at their Breaking Point pay-per-view next month.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Mike Knox vs. Finlay in a triple-threat match will air on tonight's edition of WWE Superstars where Ziggler will win the number one contendership to challenge for the title at Breaking Point.
The company delayed Mysterio's suspension to Wednesday, September 2nd so he can drop the title at next Tuesday's SmackDown taping from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The word going around is he will drop the title to Ziggler who was heavily rumored to be going over at the pay-per-view next month.
