It appears that ZenixMax Media now holds the right to Prey. According to Shacknews, the id Software and Bethesda owner has registered the trademark under video games, books, movies and television shows.
The trademark backs up reports by Duke4.net and superannuation showing that Radar Group transferred the rights to Zenimax back in July. Seems like Prey 2 may finally be a reality.
Prey was released back in 2006, earning a B+ in our review. The sequel was announced back in 2008 by Radar Group, but there was little news after that.
The new trademark suggests that we'll soon be hearing a lot more about Prey 2, assuming that Zenimax opts to continue development on the work that Radar Group began. Knowing Preys penchant for delays though, we might not see it for a very long time.
