A couple were left in shock after Mexican restaurant Cactus Joe's signed off their meal bill with the misspelt: 'Thank you littell f***er'
As the couple dabbed their mouths at the end of a meal and checked their receipt, they were astonished to see their two-year-old daughter described with the four-letter word.
Craig and Kimberley Cartin had visited the restaurant in Halifax on its opening weekend but were frustrated by slow service and poor food, which caused hungry two-year-old Molly to complain.
The couple believe her 'mild protests' triggered the comment - despite the family being seated in the advertised 'kids' zone'.
Mr Cartin, 34, said: 'I'm a fairly easy-going guy, but I couldn't believe my eyes. The meal was indifferent anyway but to be abused on the bill is unbelievably offensive. - it's awful behaviour.'
Restaurant owner Steve Ryan apologised for the message and said the member of staff responsible had been fired.
He said: 'This was absolutely inexcusable and it won't be tolerated. The person involved has been sacked. I have invited the customers involved to be our guests this weekend. We offer unreserved apologies.'
