THE 2010 edition of Guinness World Records has just been published. Here are some of the more eye-catching female entries.


LOUDEST BURP(FEMALE)

In February 2008, a Jodie Parks, of the US, achieved an impressive belch of 104.75 decibels - louder than a pneumatic drill. She's celebrated.


HEAVIEST MODEL

Successful American model Teighlor (aka Debra Perkins) peaked at 719lbs in the 1990s. She's since shrivelled to 512lbs.


OLDEST WOMAN TO GIVE BIRTH TO HER OWN GRANDCHILDREN

Aged 56, American Jacilyn Dalenberg acted as surrogate mother for daughter Kim, delivering her three baby daughters.


OLDEST TABLE TENNIS PLAYER

Australian Dorothy de Low represented her country at a Veteran's Championship in 2008, aged 97. She'd previously won gold in the same event as a raw 81-year-old.


MOST LEGS WAXED IN AN HOUR

Britain's Susanne Baird holds this one, registering 40 "ouches" in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, in 2008.


OLDEST DEBUT BOOK PUBLISHED

Bertha Wood published Fresh Air And Fun: The Story Of A Blackpool Holiday Camp on her 100th birthday in 2005.


YOUNGEST FEMALE GOLFER TO SCORE A HOLE IN ONE

Fore? No, five was the age of Soona Lee-Tolley (USA) when she achieved this feat in West Nyack, New York, in 2007.


LONGEST SERVING SOAP STAR

Helen Wagner has played Nancy McClosky in the US soap opera The World Turns since 1956.


FIRST PERSON KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Bridget Driscoll was mown down by a vehicle travelling at a reckless 4mph in Crystal Palace, London,in 1896.


FASTEST RUNNER

Florence Griffith-Joyner ran an eyebrow-raising 10.49 for the 100 metres in 1987. The American retired in 1988, just prior to the introduction of mandatory drugs testing. On September 21, 1998, Griffith-Joyner died in her sleep, aged 38.
