It's certainly been a long time coming, but Bethesda has finally outlined the scheduling plans for Fallout 3 downloadable content. The first downloadable pack will be "Broken Steel," coming next Thursday, September 24. Then on October 1, all four remaining packs will be released at once for a flood of new content. Those are, of course, Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zeta. We assume these will be priced similar to their Xbox 360 counterparts, at $9.99 each.
If you want the downloadable content but don't own the game, it's in your best interest to wait a few more weeks. On October 13, the Game of the Year edition will hit stores with all five downloadable content packs included. It will cost $59.99 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and $49.99 on the PC. If you don't have the game, you'll get the same content that early adopters grabbed, but for fifty bucks less.
