Late to the party as it may be, Bioshock is officially headed to Macs. Publisher Feral Interactive -- responsible for the Mac versions of Lego Batman, Black & White 2, and several others -- will be handling the port of 2K Boston's award-winning shooter, which is scheduled to arrive in stores sometime next month.
System requirements for Apple computers include an Intel processor at 1.8 GHz or faster, a minimum of 1.5 GB RAM, a 128 MB graphics card, DVD drive, 8 GB of hard drive space, and OS X 10.5.8 or later. Though it should run on the most recent generation of MacBooks and Mac Minis, Bioshock will not support earlier Macs with Intel GMA integrated video chipsets.

Mac users will surely appreciate the 2007 gem finally turning up on their platform, but the planned MSRP is currently set at $49.95. When it's possible to track down a copy of Bioshock on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC for well under $20, what's the incentive for Mac owners to wait -- especially when a Bootcamp-equipped Mac runs Windows games just fine?
