Nintendo has promised to repair Wii consoles affected by the latest 4.2 software update. The Firmware upgrade, which was designed to remove unofficial homebrew software from the system, caused some machines to crash.According to Edge Online, a Nintendo US tech support member said that the problem seemed to be an issue with newly-purchased units."We'd like to help get your system working properly again. If you're experiencing problems with your Wii console after downloading Wii System Menu 4.2, and you believe your system has not been modified, please give us a call," he announced."If we find that you have a normal system and the update caused your system to not work, we'll repair it at no charge."Similar problems were also acknowledged in the UK. Customers are advised to contact Nintendo's service advice centre before sending their consoles away to be fixed.
