Workers at a convenience store which had been robbed twice in recent months became so jumpy that they threw a bag of money at a man who wasn't even trying to rob them.
The clerks at the Five Star Snacks and More shop in Waterloo, Iowa, became convinced that they were being targeted for a third time when a man approached the counter with his hand in his pocket, rambling incoherently.
The panicked workers stuffed money into a bag and threw it at the man, who ignored it and walked out of the store.
Police say that the man was, in fact, just drunk. They arrested him for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and interference.
