According to OK! magazine Penelope jetted in to New York to film her cameo, in which she will play herself on the red carpet.
She is latest in a string of stars to have signed up to the project.
Liza is believed to be singing in the film at the wedding of characters Stanford and Anthony.
Meanwhile OK! also reports that Miley will shortly be filming her segment in the movie.
The latest in the SATC franchise is due to be released in May next year.
All of the main stars will reappear, alongside the celebrity cameos.
