Shawn Michaels is not giving people close to him the impression that he’s on the verge of retiring within the next year. People close to Shawn believe he will continue wrestling on a regular basis for another two to three years.
Shawn doesn’t work a full-time schedule as it is in that he doesn’t appear on all the house show events, and it’s possible he’ll lighten his schedule even more as time goes on. However, people who know him well do not believe he’s on the verge of calling it a career. It’s also widely assumed that Shawn will receive a grand sendoff similar to the one Ric Flair received when the time comes for his retirement.
