We exclusively reported awhile back, when news first broke that Hulk Hogan had signed with TNA, that Sting planned to continue working for TNA and hold off on any plans to retire for the immediate moment. The Wrestling Observer has provided an update on the Sting situation, noting that the plan going forward is to have Sting "no-show" several setup interviews to be aired on Impact, in order to build mystery around what he's going to do now that Hogan is with TNA.

At this point, TNA feels that it would be best to hold off on bringing Sting back to TV until January, as that's when Hogan has been rumored to begin working with the company. TNA is apparently in "lame duck mode" right now, as creative plans are mostly idling until Hogan makes his big debut with the company. Therefore, TNA feels like it would be a waste to bring back any big names right now as there isn't much going on until Hogan makes his TV debut.
