New shoutbox for 4.0

I have had alot of problems with trying to get a shoutbox for UOW but we seem to have a kind of stable product for now.

This shoutbox works on IE7, IE8 and FireFox 3.5.5. I am not sure abut IE6 but if you are using IE6, i recommend you upgrade to IE7 or IE8.

The shoutbox may be pruned often to help with server load.

On the shoutbox you will see a + and -, these can be used to make the shoutbox a larger or smaller size.

If you are having problems, please clean your cache, this sometimes seems to help with problems.

So, enjoy the shoutbox if you can .. lol If you find any troubles with the forum because of the shoutbox, please tell us here or feel free to say where it is working for you. I am sure a more sadvanced shoutbox wil be available in the future.

Clean out your cache Punisher and see if that helps. Also if you used FF before the shoutbox came and have FF to remember cookies, undo this and then close FF, then turn it back on if you wnt to.

Size? Not sure what you mean but this may help you. The settings seem to stay that way while you are on the forum looking around and posting.

Not gonna lie, although the rest of the forum looks killer, I'm not a fan of the new shoutbox. I enjoy the shoutbox a lot and only being able to read the shouts if I go to browse around the forum by opening up a new tab isn't really the greatest. Besides that it looks awesome.

It will help with server load and it will be updated as we go. As I find it does not cause much load I will extend certain things on the shoutbox. Ofcourse another shoutbox may come along.

Just to state... the shoutbox works well in Opera as well... (Version 10)
