ProWrestling.net is reporting that TNA plans to hold an "open challenge" match for Jay Lethal once a month. So far, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has competed against Lethal on Impact, and we reported earlier that Tatanka is expected to work a match against Lethal tonight which will air on next week's Impact show. Internally, the reason TNA is only holding a "Legend's Match" once a month is because too many stars from the past are under Legend's deals with WWE that prevent them from appearing on TNA TV. Therefore, TNA would be unable to run the angle on a weekly basis.

If "The Anvil" & Tatanka are their idea of "Legends" they should just scrap the bit.

Why do it to begin with if they aren't even putting Lethal over?
