PWTorch has clarified the rumors of Steve Austin possibly working for TNA by noting that Austin is still under contract with WWE. Therefore, he cannot work for TNA at this point even if he wanted to. A few years back, SpikeTV wanted to feature Austin in some sort of a non-wrestling TV project considering he would fit well on their current line-up of programming, however, WWE countered Spike's attempt at landing Austin by offering him a big money deal not to work for them. The deal also allows WWE to continue selling Austin's merchandise.
