RESCHEDULED: New Zealand fans of Irish rock band U2 will be able to see Bono and the boys perform in Auckland in November.
Irish rock band U2 announced new dates for the Vertigo 2006 New Zealand tour this morning after cancelling two Auckland performances in March.
U2 announced the new dates on their website , and will play Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25.
Arthur Fogel, from tour promoter The Next Adventure, said: "We are very happy to announce the rescheduling and appreciate everyone's patience."
Kayne West will support the band on the new New Zealand dates.
Tickets for the cancelled performances on March 17 and March 18 will be valid for the new dates.
Refunds are available for fans unable to make the new dates from July 21 to 26. Any returned tickets will be made available for fans wanting to attend.
The March concerts were postponed after the daughter of guitarist The Edge fell ill.
Tickets for the shows sold out almost immediately, and many appeared on auction website TradeMe at inflated prices. Around 20 tickets were listed for sale this morning.
