Jermaine Jackson has said that he and his brothers never considered cancelling their reality show.

Jackson, who appears with his brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie in The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, said that they decided to continue making the programme after the death of their brother Michael.

"The fact that [Michael died] right during filming... we never had any question in our minds to stop the show," Jackson told the New York Post. "We wanted to continue. We felt this was the best connection to continue to keep [Michael's] legacy alive in a dignified way.

"We had to stop and mourn - and we're still mourning for God knows how long - but we feel the fans are the reason we're here and wanted to continue that connection [with them]."

Jackson also denied rumours that Michael's children will appear on the show.

"There was never any intention of putting Michael's children in the shows," he explained. "We would never do that. There was never even a question of asking Michael . We've kept their privacy and will continue to do that the best we can. We wouldn't want to send out the wrong signal by exploiting his children now that he's not here."

Jackson added that his brother's death hadn't affected the show, explaining: "We've been the number one family in the world way before Michael's passing... and for us to do a prime-time TV show only makes everything more exciting for our fans.

"We felt Michael would want us to continue to do what we're doing."
