Heidi Range has claimed that she no longer "dreads" her Sugababes commitments thanks to the departure of Keisha Buchanan.

The 26-year-old singer, who is now the band's longest-serving member, announced that working with Buchanan's replacement Jade Ewen has been much more enjoyable.

Buchanan was ousted from Sugababes in September following rumoured bust-ups with Range and Amelle Berrabah. Her exit prompted the group's third lineup change.

Speaking to Star magazine, Range explained: "It was hard at the time, but what happened has happened, and we will all benefit as a result of the new direction - both the Sugababes and Keisha independently.

"Jade has slotted in so brilliantly and [there have been] no arguments or disagreements - so far. It's such a difference. We don't dread coming to work anymore. We laugh all the time now."

Meanwhile, Berrabah said: "It feels so natural and like we've all been together a lot longer, even though it's only been a matter of weeks. Jade fits like a glove. She looks great, she sings great and we couldn't be happier that she's part of the group."

Last month, it was suggested that Buchanan was considering taking legal action over comments made by Berrabah about her behaviour in the band.
