At UFC 100 in July, Brock Lesnar was on top of the world after smashing Frank Mir and becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the UFC. Just a few months later, Lesnar found himself wondering if he'd ever be able to fight again when he was stricken with diverticulitis, an intestinal condition that's prevented him from training After recuperating from surgery, Lesnar appears to be on the mend.
His management team recently released a video on Youtube showing photographs of Lesnar sporting a UFC 100 jacket and a goatee while signing autographs at a table. The message in the video states, “Brock Lesnar IS recovering and will expect to know if he needs another surgical operation soon. If it is not needed, he can attempt to make a near summer return in 2010.”

Another message in the video explains that Lesnar is disappointed about the cancellation of his last bout and expresses thanks for the support of his fans.

With the uncertainty around Lesnar's return, the UFC is debating whether or not to create an interim title until Lesnar can resume his career. It's rumored that Shane Carwin will face Frank Mir for the interim title at UFC 111 on March 27, 2010.
