UFC President Dana White announced the signing of Japanese superstar Takanori Gomi with the UFC. White introduced the former PRIDE lightweight champion in his most recent video blog.
"Takanori Gomi, nobody knows yet," White stated, introducing the final holder of the PRIDE lightweight championship.
"We signed him, he fights with the UFC now," White continued, with a smirky grin. "We're making shit even more exciting."
While Gomi holds an impressive record of 36-5 and had a dominant run in PRIDE from 2004-2006, he has been 2-2 in his last four bouts.
