TNA have announced more details of the cards for the forthcoming UK
tour and there are some potential classics lined up. The tour kicks
off in Glasgow at the Braehead Centre on the 23rd with AJ Styles
defending his World title against Samoa Joe. The tag titles are on the
line as Hernandez and Matt Morgan face Team 3D in a Tables match and
Amazing Red defends his X-Division title against Chris Sabin, Daniels
and Suicide.

After a quick visit to France on the 25th, TNA return to the UK for a
show at the BIC in Bournemouth on the 26th. Kurt Angle takes on Samoa
Joe in an “I Quit” match while Desmond Wolfe gets a shot at AJ Styles’
title. The tag belts are on the line as Hernandez and Matt Morgan
defend against Team 3D, Beer Money and The British Invasion.

Samoa Joe gets another title match with AJ Styles in Cardiff on the
27th and Rob Terry gets a shot at the Global Title held by Eric Young.
There’s also a UK v USA challenge as the British Invasion take on Beer
Money.

Title matches on the Coventry Skydome card on the 28th see AJ Styles
defend against Desmond Wolfe while Awesome Kong and Hamada put their
Knockouts tag titles on the line against former champions Sarita and
Taylor Wilde. Also confirmed for the card is the British Invasion and
Eric Young against Beer Money, The Pope and Suicide in a Gauntlet match.

In Manchester the following night there’s a three-way ladder match for
the World title as AJ Styles faces Daniels and Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle
faces Desmond Wolfe and it’s Hernandez and Matt Morgan against Team 3D.

The tour ends in London at the Wembley Arena with a five-man Ultimate
X match for the X-Division title as Amazing Red faces The Pope,
Daniels, Chris Sabin and Suicide. Recent events in the States though
might just mean that match gets changed (watch the January 28th
episode of Impact to see what I mean) Kurt Angle takes on AJ Styles
for the world title and The British Invasion face Beer Money.

So it looks like being a busy time for the TNA wrestlers, so who was
it who said a good reason to join them was the reduced workload?
Londoner Desmond Wolfe might have a certain word for whoever said that
because as you’ve read he has a really tough week ahead with two
matches against AJ Styles and at least one clash with Kurt Angle.

I managed to grab a few words with Wolfe on January 22nd and he can’t
wait for the tour to start though he was pretty cheesed off with the
weather and the lack of something. “It’s miserable. Grey skies, rain
and no offers of sex so far” he told me. Not quite the answer I was
expecting I can tell you.

The Londoner is no stranger to the UK of course but his time here has
been spent wrestling for companies up and down the country mainly in
small halls, so it’s a big deal for him to now be taking on the best
in TNA in venues such as Wembley Arena, the Manchester MEN Arena and
The Bournemouth International Centre. So weather and lack of sex
aside, how’s he looking forward to the UK tour? “It’s going to be
fantastic, I can’t wait. It’s good to be back in England, there’s
always a great crowd.”

As well as facing AJ Styles, the rest of the tour is hardly going to
be plain sailing with opponents such as Samoa Joe, The Pope and Kurt
Angle likely to be taking him on but Wolfe is just glad to be here and
facing such challenges. “Well I didn’t know what they had planned for
me, I didn’t even know I was even going to be on the tour so that’s
how stoked I am. As they say in the States, they’ve given me the ball
and now I have to run with it.”
