Robbie Williams is to be reunited with Take That on Simon Cowell's charity single for Haiti, it has been revealed.

The occasion marks the first time since 1995 that Williams has featured on a record with his former bandmates.

Confirming his involvement, Williams told The Sun: "I'm very honoured to be asked to contribute to the single. We can all do something to help the people of Haiti - and I urge everyone to do what they can."

Williams and Take That are expected to record their vocals in Los Angeles today. However, the extent of the 'reunion' is currently unclear as they may decide to record separately and have their voices mixed together later.

Meanwhile, Australian popstar Kylie Minogue has also reportedly agreed to take part following an approach from Cowell.

A source told The Mirror: "Simon's delighted. Kylie's shown a real depth of understanding of what the single is all about. She's one of the biggest stars to say yes so far. It's a real coup."

The song - a cover of REM's 'Everybody Hurts' - is being recorded to raise funds following Haiti's recent earthquake disaster.
