The cast of Ugly Betty are reportedly 'in demand' following the show being axed by ABC.
Following a run of poor ratings and an unsuccessful move to a Wednesday night slot, the Alphabet network announced that it would not be renewing the show for a fifth run.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, castmembers including Eric Mabius, Becki Newton, Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie and Ana Ortiz have piqued the interest of several casting directors.
"The networks and casting directors in Hollywood are looking very closely at the casts that have or will become available on shows like Dollhouse, Ugly Betty, Nip/Tuck, Three Rivers and Lost and bubble shows like Scrubs and Better Off Ted to cherry-pick actors," casting executive Marc Hirschfeld said.
Reports suggest that the show's leading lady America Ferrera may not be open to another series as she is considering focusing on features full-time.
