View Full Version : 'Lost' premiere pulls in 12.4 million

Lost made a decent return to ABC last night, early viewing figures show.

The much-anticipated two-hour premiere event averaged 12.09m between 9pm and 11pm, drawing 12.42m for its first hour and 11.75m at 10pm.

Previous Lost season openers have performed as follows: 18.65m tuned in for the series premiere in 2004, season two took 23.47m in 2005, 2006's season three opener had 18.82m, the fourth premiered to 17.77m in 2008 and last year's fifth season opened to 13.32m.

Earlier on the Alphabet network, the Lost clips show put in 9.93m during the 8pm hour.

Over on CBS, NCIS and spinoff Los Angeles drew 19.11m and 16.36m at 8pm and 9pm, then 12.72m watched The Good Wife during the 10pm hour.

A rerun of The Biggest Loser managed 4.98m for NBC in the 8pm slot, then a new two-hour episode averaged 9.42m against Lost.

American Idol and Kitchen Nightmares were seen by 24.44m and 9.27m at 8pm and 9pm respectively on Fox. Repeats of 90210 and Melrose Place grabbed 873k and 661k for The CW.
