- WWE's Jason Robinson recently told Sky Magazine that the Elimination Chamber structure costs $250,000 to put together and takes 24 ring crew members to assemble. The 16-ton structure is stored in Newark and requires a special 500-foot flatbed truck to transport it.

Yeah, there's no way in hell 500-foot flatbed truck out there, lol.

If there is... we're definitely screwed if the trucks ever rise up and take over like in "Maximum Overdrive"

But anyway... this is still interesting, thanks for posting.

Notice how it says "Special 500 foot flatbed truck."

Special being the key word, I'm sure they aren't common.

Anyways, $250K for the Chamber......Damn lol.

I know... but do you realize how big a 500 foot flatbed would be? 50 feet alone is above the average height of a flatbed, so that alone could be considered "special" as well.

A Standard flatbed trailer is at most 53' long. A 500' trailer would be the equivelant to 10 of these. There would be know way to turn that long of trailer in the space of city streets or on the highways.

Ah, ya never know these days lol. But does seem like a load of bullshit cause that would be impossible to drive.

EDIT: Must of been some type of typo cause here is a similar report from Wikipedia and its info says its from WWE Mag. (Read bold part)

According to a WWE Magazine article in 2009 by WWE's production designer Jason Robinson, who co-designed the structure, several designs for the Elimination Chamber were considered before settling on the final design. The structure was manufactured in Colorado Springs, Colorado, taking between six to eight weeks to fabricate from the design blueprints. The Elimination Chamber costs US$250,000 to construct. A 50-foot flatbed truck is needed to transport the chamber. Assembly in the arena takes eight hours to complete. When not in use, the structure is stored at a dock in Newark, New Jersey.[3]

The structure itself is made of black-painted steel with an outer structure of 16 frames, each weighing 300 pounds (140 kg).[3] The chamber is 36 feet (11 m) in diameter. The structure weighs 16 tons, 10 of which consists of steel.[4][3][5] Each inner chamber is made of three sheets of "bulletproof" plexiglass, costing US$225 per sheet.[3] 2 miles (3.2 km) of chain are also used.[4][5] Eight motors are used to suspend the structure over the ring before each event.[3]
