Michael Winner broke down in tears during an episode of his new TV show Dining Stars.
The movie director and food critic began weeping when he heard a story about a Lancashire woman, who had a son with a heart condition and a daughter with cerebral palsy.
Winner is filmed crying, admitting to the camera that Justine Forest's story "hit me very strongly, suddenly". The 74-year-old awards Forest one of his Dining Stars after eating one of her home-cooked meals.
"There was something there you don't get in restaurants," he tells Forest. "You don't get heart and you don't get warmth such as I saw in your house. Thank you for having me, it was an incredible experience."
Earlier in the show, Winner mocks cooking from the north of England, which he describes as an "alien country".
