Alex Reid has defended Katie Price over accusations that she is a bad mother.
The former glamour model recently attracted criticism from ex-partner Peter Andre for allowing their 2-year-old daughter Princess to be photographed in make-up and false eyelashes.
However, Price's new husband Reid has now insisted that the incident was just some innocent fun that was later blown out of context by the tabloids.
"The accusations in the press last week that Kate isn't a good mum because she let Princess try on her false eyelashes and straighten her hair made me really angry," he told the Daily Star.
"Princess was just sat on Kate's lap and said she wished she could have eyes like mummy, and so they just put the false lashes on her for a few minutes. It was a joke!"
The cage fighter went on to say that both he and his wife had been deeply offended by suggestions that Price is a poor parent.
"The whole thing ended up being taken totally out of context and it annoyed me because people then started coming out and criticising Kate's parenting skills," he added. "It was very upsetting for us both to hear that stuff - we're only human after all."
