2/26 - Drake Younger looking to "Welcome" the best to Naptown!

CZW is closing on it's long-awaited midwest debut in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. March 27th's "Welcome to Naptown" promises to be nothing short of a blockbuster debut, and one that DJ Hyde, and the hometown Naptown Dragons are promising to make an event to remember. "Naptown's" own former World Champion Drake Younger is particularly excited for CZW's midwest debut, and has issued an Ultraviolent open challenge to anyone who wants to step in to the ring with him on his home turf. The former record-setting World Heavyweight Champion contacted CZWrestling early this afternoon to deliver a message to the Combat Zone fans and followers:

"Everyone already knows that CZW's Indianapolis debut means a lot to me," said Younger. "I'm excited to help welcome the Combat Zone and its fans to Naptown, and show them how we do it in the midwest. I told DJ and Maven to bring me the very best competition available, no matter who it is, so we can make this a night to remember, and the first of many from my hometown of Indianapolis. See ya'll in Naptown..."

3/5 - DRAKE YOUNGER vs. MASADA signed for CZW's March 27th INDIANAPOLIS debut!

Ever since the announcement by DJ Hyde, CZW management have been working hard to put together the very best, and most ultraviolent lineup possible for the Combat Zone's March 27th debut in Indianapolis! Late last night, CZWrestling received confirmation on the signing of a match that may not just tear down the new CZW Midwest Arena, but also the entire Combat Zone as we know it. As made official by Maven Bentley, former CZW record-setting World Champion DRAKE YOUNGER will go one-on-one with MASADA on March 27th as CZW presents "Welcome to Naptown"!

In addition, word has leaked from the Cult Fiction compound of another match signed for CZW's midwest debut. Just moments before press time, CZWrestling has managed to confirm the signing of another match for March 27th's "Welcome to Naptown". Representing 'Cult Fiction', J.C. Bailey and Brain Damage will team up to face Indianapolis' own Scotty Vortekz and Danny Havoc an Ultraviolent, light tube loaded, tag-team grudge match. Is Indianpolis ready for the Ultraviolence? We'll find out soon as CZW's invades Naptown!

3/10 - 2 more HUGE matches added to March 27th's CZW debut in Indianapolis!

Those fans in the midwest who will be witnessing CZW action live for the first time on March 27th will be in for a treat... and then some. This afternoon, CZWrestling learned of two more HUGE matches signed for CZW's "Welcome to Naptown", including a Jr. Heavyweight Title match, a big return, and what could be the most competitive matchup of the year.

When he won the CZW Jr. Heavyweight Championship in February, "The BLK Jeez" Sabian promised to make this his most bitter title reign yet. The International superstar will have all the more reason to be bitter after learning that he will face a Midwest native making his long-awaited return to the Combat Zone. On March 27th at "Welcome to Naptown", Sabian will face the returning "Quick" Carter Gray, and if he is still Champion, the title will be on the line! Can the accomplished veteran defend his gold against the returning and highly motivated Carter Gray? Will Gray be able to shake off any rust and pull the upset to capture his first CZW Championship? We'll find out in just a few short weeks.

In another huge contest signed for CZW's Indianapolis debut, former CZW World Champion B-BOY will take on the midwest's own EGO FANTASTICO in a battle of Best of the Best Champions, and two of the very best the Combat Zone has to offer. Both men have their eyes on CZW's richest prize, but only one will be able to take that next step towards the ultimate goal. Who will come out on top on March 27th when CZW presents "Welcome to Naptown"?!
______________________________

The fallout is still being sorted out, but officials have passed on a number of news and notes, and more information regarding CZW's huge return to South Philly on April 10th, and perhaps even more importantly, CZW's huge debut in Indianapolis in 2 weeks for March 27th's "WELCOME TO NAPTOWN"! Let's reviews some of the most recent developments:

- JON MOXLEY successfully defended his CZW Championship in the most brutal of circumstances against former Champion Nick Gage. Moxley's first defense was not easy though, as he had to deal with guardrails, metal spikes, pizza cutters, and a kendo stick in his first one-on-one encounter with Nick Gage. The win catapults Moxley's legitimacy as Champion, and at the same time, has sent Gage into (another) psychotic rage. The former Champion is determined to hurt someone badly when he returns to action on March 27th in Indianapolis.

- Following the main event, DJ Hyde announced a date for the 2010 version of TOURNAMENT OF DEATH! The annual event will take place on Saturday, June 26th at a location to be announced soon.

- With their victory over Irish Driveby, THE BEST AROUND have officially capped off a full year as CZW Tag Team Champions. TJ Cannon and Bruce Maxwell captured the titles a year ago at March 2009's "Total Havoc" event and have dominated the tag division ever since. Under the tutelage of "Primo" Robbie Mireno, the duo appears poised to hold on to the gold for the forseeable future.

- The once formidable friendship between former BLKOUT label-mates SABIAN and RUCKUS has turned very ugly. "The Blk Jeez" interfered in Ruckus' return match with Drew Gulak, costing Ruckus the match. CZWrestling.com has learned that Ruckus is not ready to let this one go.

- 4 More Matches were taped for CZW "WIRED". They, along with other original content can be seen every Friday at Midnight throughout the Philadelphia/Delaware/New Jersey area on WMCN TV. Check your local listings for exact channel listings.

- All eyes have turned towards CZW's debut in INDIANAPOLIS on March 27th. CZWrestling has learned of another match signed for "Welcome to Naptown". In a match that is not for the faint of heart, "The Hardcore Hebrew" Joseph Schwartz has signed on to face Greg Excellent in a one-on-one contest which could possibly tear the roof of the CZW Midwest Arena.

3/15 - Another new match, and a SEMINAR added to March 27th's CZW debut in Indianapolis!

With "Walking on Pins and Needles" now in the books, all eyes have turned towards CZW's highly anticipated March 27th debut in Indianapolis. The appropriately titled "Welcome to Naptown" is shaping up to be one of the Combat Zone's biggest events of the year, and as such, CZWrestling.com has learned of a newly announced contest featuring one of CZW's biggest (literally) competitors. In a matchup that is likely to blow the roof off the CZW Midwest Arena (or at least the snack bar), Greg Excellent has signed on to face "The Hebrew Hammer" Joseph Schwartz in one-on-one action! Who will come out in a battle of two of wrestling's most intense competitors? We'll find out on March 27th in Indianapolis!

In addition, CZWrestling has learned of another very special offering to those in the midwest. If you are currently in training to become a professional wrestler, or if you are a professional wrestler looking to improve and take your game to the next level, the CZW Academy is proud to present a very special pre-show seminar hosted by the midwest's own AMERICAN KICKBOXER. 'AKB' is one of the most regarded trainers in the midwest, and has personally crafted and guided the careers of some of CZW's best, including DRAKE YOUNGER and SCOTTY VORTEKZ. If you want to gain insight from one of the best, this is your chance... details for the seminar are listed below....

3/22 - VENUE CHANGE and 2 NEW MATCHES SIGNED FOR CZW'S Midwest Debut!

Since the announcement of CZW's hugely anticipated March 27th debut in Indianapolis, local fans have been snatching up tickets at a rapid pace and are already logging requests for a 2010 return to the midwest. Due to the overwhelming interest in this event, and a desire to comfortably host what is expected to be a sizeable turnout, CZW management have decided late this afternoon to re-locate the show to a new, larger, and more adaquately equipped venue which will provide fans with a full sports and entertainment experience. As a result, this Saturday's event has been moved to the RIEHLE BROTHERS ARENA in neighboring LAFAYETTE, Indiana with a modified 6PM Belltime. The Riehle Brothers facility features a full service restaurant and bar, free parking, and is only a short drive from the original location in 'next-door' Indianapolis. In addition, the Riehle Brothers bar will be the official host of the "Welcome to Naptown" AFTERPARTY immediately following the event. CZW Management wants to apologize to those fans who have been inconvenienced by the move, but we want to assure you it is in the best interest of everyone involved.

In addition, CZWrestling has also learned of two new matches officially signed for this Saturday's "WELCOME TO NAPTOWN''. As first mentioned at CZW's "Walking on Pins and Needles", DJ HYDE has requested, and been granted his rematch with SAMI CALLIHAN, and it will take place in CZW's first-ever 'Naptown Street Fight'. The bad blood between the two has grown stronger in recent months, and extends beyond the ring, and should reach it's boiling point when the two collide again on neutral soil this Saturday in Naptown.

Also, the midwest fans aren't the only ones clamoring to be a part of this weekend's groundbreaking event. Wrestlers from around the country have contacted CZW looking for an opportunity to make an impact at CZW's Midwest debut. As such, CZWrestling has learned of the signing of another new match, which will be taped for WIRED. Making his return to CZW, APOLLO STARR will go one-on-one with the Midwest's own AARON WILLIAMS, in a contest which could prove to springboard either man to a full-time roster spot.

CZW also learned of a few more matches which are expected to be confirmed in the coming hours as CZW management puts the finishing touches on the Combat Zone's Ultraviolent Midwest invasion.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
3/23 - New Match SIGNED for Saturday's CZW debut in Lafayette!

Just 24 hours after the announcement of the first WIRED match for this SATURDAY's big CZW's debut in Indiana, two more competitors have been granted a golden opportunity to make an impact in the Combat Zone. In a match signed exclusively for the Live, and WIRED audience, two young competitors will make their returns to CZW when the cocky ASHTON VUITTON takes on southern superstar CHRISJEN HAYME in what should be very active contest. Both of these men are hungry, and eager for a chance to prove themselves in the Combat Zone, and they will get just that on Saturday in Lafayette as CZW presents 'WELCOME TO NAPTOWN!'

3/25 - NEW MATCHES added to Saturday's CZW debut in LAFAYETTE!

As we close in on the final hours until this SATURDAY's huge Midwest debut in LAFAYETTE, Indiana, CZW management has put the finishing touches on a lineup that looks poised to change the face of Midwest wrestling as we know it.

Late Wednesday night, CZWrestling learned of three new matches added to this Saturday's Ultraviolent affair. In what should be a very highly contested matchup, the reunited NOTORIOUS INC (Devon Moore and Drew Blood) will team up to take on CZW blue-chippers ADAM COLE and Wired Champion TYLER VERITAS in a tag-team challenge. As of late, Devon Moore and Drew Blood have been focused on their solo careers in CZW, each acheiving significant success out on their own, and both seemingly now in a tailspin having each suffered a number of frustrating setbacks in recent months. Now, with each struggling individually, the once successful duo has seemingly decided to pair up again in an effort to get things back on track doing what they do best. Of course, if they think their match on Saturday against Cole and Veritas is anything close to a sure thing, they will be sorely mistaken. Cole and Veritas are among the brightest young stars in the Combat Zone and will provide a very dangerous opponent for the tag vets. We'll see who comes out on top on Saturday in Lafayette.

In addition, CZWrestling has learned of a few changes to the lineup. CZW Jr. Heavyweight Champion SABIAN was informed today that due to injury, his original opponent 'Quick' Carter Grey will be unable to make it to Saturday night's event in Lafayette. While the bitter champ would certainly enjoy a day off in Indiana, CZW Management has informed him that he is line for anything but that. With Grey out, officials have found a suitable replacement, and as such, Sabian will be in action on Saturday night... against his former label mate RUCKUS! The two have unfinished business stemming back to January's event where Ruckus' absense contributed to the BLKOUT's loss to TBA, and the loss of the BLKOUT name forever. Now out on their own for good, the two will meet in Indiana with plenty of business to settle.

Also this evening, CZWrestling learned of another injury, this one to BANDIDO JR., which will keep him from appearing at this Saturday's event to team with his partner Azrieal against Zero Gravity. Instead, ZERO GRAVITY will be in action against a very interesting pairing in A.R. FOX and CZW newcomer CHIP DAY! This match is full of young, high-flying, and hungry athletes who are all looking for a long-term job in the Combat Zone. This is one match you will not want to miss!

Finally, and perhaps most disturbingly, CZWrestling has learned that 'The New Horror' Sami Callihan has pulled himself off this weekend's show. Citing "absolutely no desire to share a ring with DJ Hyde EVER again", Callihan informed CZW officials that he is refusing to attend Saturday's event. Of course, DJ Hyde was not pleased upon hearing the news, and has decided to make an example of Callihan. In a message just before this press release was sent out, DJ Hyde wished to apologize to CZW fans for the late change, and declared "Sami Callihan wants to F&*! with the fans, well I'm gonna F%&! with him. On Saturday April 10th when we return to Philly, he's gonna face his partner JON MOXLEY in a one-on-one match!". So with that shocking news, we now have our first official matchup for CZW's April 10th return to Philadelphia for "SWINGING FOR THE FENCES!". DJ Hyde has also promised that he will still be in attendance this Saturday night in Lafayette.

3/28 - CZW News and Notes: Midwest Results, New Matches signed and more!

We are now more than 24 hours removed from CZW's midwest debut this past weekend, and what a memorable debut it was. On short notice, a capacity crowd packed the Riehle Brothers Arena in Lafayette, Indiana and bare witness to one of the most Ultraviolent nights in Hoosier State history! Let's take a moment to review the results from this past Saturday's "Dragon Night" event...

'Dragon Night' Official Results

1. (Wired) Bret Havok defeated Jeremy Hadley
2. (Wired) Chrisjen Hayme defeated Ashton Vuitton
3. (Wired) "Poison" Apollo Starr defeated Aaron Williams
4. NICK GAGE defeated xOMGx in a Barbed Wire Ropes and Barbed Wire Boards Match

11. DRAKE YOUNGER defeated MASADA
12. CULT FICTION (JC Bailey and Brain Damage) defeated DANNY HAVOC and SCOTTY VORTEKZ in a Light Tubes and Fans Bring the Weapons Deathmatch

News and Notes:

- Those in attendance on Saturday night saw an even more relentless, and vicious Nick Gage than ever before. The CZW Hall of Famer showed even more hatred than normal, not only dismantling xOMGx, but also after the match, doing the unthinkable and removing xOMGx's mask from his head, exposing the defenseless Indiana natives identity to the crowd. Following the removal of the mask, Gage continued his beatdown, stopping only when DJ Hyde stormed the ring to save the prone Naptown Dragon. Following a short scuffle, an impromptu match was sanctioned, and Gage continued his path of destruction, laying waste to DJ Hyde with a vicous assault of Ultraviolence. Following his second pin, Gage went back for more on the still lifeless xOMGx. This time, xOMGx was saved by a fellow masked competitor... Ego Fantastico. The intervention saved xOMGx from further injury, and also apparently firmly entrenched Ego as Nick Gage's new #1 enemy. Following the fray, an altercation took place backstage between Gage and Ego, leaving CZW officials no choice but to sanction a one-on-one match between Gage and Ego for CZW's April 10th return to South Philly. There is plenty of unfinished business between the two, and it will be settled when CZW returns to South Philly in less than 2 weeks.

- In the midst of the uncontrolled chaos in Saturday's main event, Danny Havoc suffered a severe injury, breaking his heel following a daring moonsault of the top turnbuckle to the floor. Incredibly, Havoc continued the match, but the damage was done. Following the show, Havoc was taken to the hospital where his heel was put in a cast, and Doctor's ordered him to stay out of the ring for the next 60-90 days. While distraught, Havoc has spoken to CZW Management and has promised that he will return by June 26th's Tournament of Death, and wants to do so against the man who injured him... JC Bailey, in the first round.

In addition, CZWrestling has learned that Havoc had just hours prior to his match signed on for a huge contest at April 10th's CZW return to South Philly for "Swinging for the Fences". The Ultraviolent star had signed on to meet Cult Fiction in a 'Home Run Derby' Tag Team Deathmatch, and had even found a partner... MASADA! However, despite the fact that he has been forced to pull out of the contest, the match is still scheduled to go on, and as of press time CZWrestling has been unable to speak to Danny Havoc regarding his replacement. CZWrestling will bring you all the breaking news regarding this match when it becomes available.

- Adam Cole and Tyler Veritas scored a huge victory on Saturday in Lafayette when they defeated longtime tag-team specialists Devon Moore and Drew Blood in a very competitive contest. Notorious Inc. showed several instances of confusion, and rust in their first tag team contest in some time. Moore and Blood were seen arguing not only during the match, but for much of the evening, and during the post-show party at the Riehle Brothers Bar. CZWrestling has been unable to obtain comment from either Moore or Blood regarding Saturday's developments.

- The CZW Locker Room and Crew wants to thank everyone who came out to support the Combat Zone in it's midwest debut. As always, you are the most supportive and enthusiastic fans in wrestling, and without you, the Ultraviolent expansion would not be possible! Thanks again, and we hope to see you back in the midwest soon!

- The CZW Wired cameras were in Lafayette this past weekend as well, and taped several more matches for "WIRED". They, along with other original content can be seen every Friday at Midnight throughout the Philadelphia/Delaware/New Jersey area on WMCN TV. Check your local listings for exact channel listings.

Stay tuned to CZWrestling in the coming days for more on the fallout from "Dragon Night", and more on the build to CZW's huge return to South Philly on April 10th for "Swinging for the Fences"!
