An Upstate grandmother is arrested, charged with reckless driving. Investigators say that she was going more than 100 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone. The reason, she says, was to get to a hair appointment. A Union Public Safety Officer caught the whole thing on his dashboard camera. The officer says 72-year-old Sandra Powell was driving too fast and recklessly passed another vehicle on Highway 176. He reports he clocked Powell on radar at 102 miles per hour.

She says she doesn't know what happened, that she's never had a speeding ticket.

Powell says she kind of blacked out, saying she went towards Union rather than to Spartanburg where her appointment was.

Powell’s family says they took her to the hospital after bailing her out of jail. They say she will undergo more tests to try to figure out if a health issue contributed to her speeding.

Sandra says she was recently pulled over for speeding, but was given a warning.
