Show:
We begin with footage from the Great American Bash. We see Chavo tell Rey that he is there to make sure dreams come true. We see footage of the World Title match between Rey Mysterio and King Booker. Including Chavo coming out and attacking Rey when the referee went down. We are told that Rey Mysterio will get his rematch, but how will he react to his friend turning on him Sunday night. We will also see a United States Title rematch.


Batista vs. Mr. Kennedy
Referee: Chris Kay

Speaking of rematches, it is time for our first match and Ken Kennedy comes out. We see footage of Ken Kennedy bleeding during his match at the pay per view as well as footage of Kennedy getting stitched up. Tony Chimmel introduces him as the man who defeated Batista at the Great American Bash, but before he can get Ken’s name out, he stops Chimmel and Kennedy finishes the introduction.

The start:
Batista backs Kennedy into the corner and he gives a clean break, but Kennedy with a kick followed by a side head lock. Kennedy with a hammer lock but Batista with an elbow and Kennedy backs into the turnbuckles. Kennedy with forearms to Batista’s back followed by a front face lock. Batista tosses Kennedy into the corner and he follows that with shoulder tackles in the corner.

Mid-match notes:
Kennedy cowers in the corner and while the referee admonishes Batista, Kennedy kicks Batista in the leg. Kennedy works on Batista’s knee with elbows. Kennedy continues to work on Batista’s knee and slams it into the mat. Kennedy kicks Batista’s leg in the ropes and then he hits a running drop kick into the knee. Batista punches back but Kennedy with a knee. Batista with an Irish whip and a running clothesline followed by a back body drop.

The Finish:
Kennedy goes outside the ring to regroup. Batista goes outside and then they exchange punches on the floor. Batista tries to clothesline Kennedy but Kennedy moves out of the way and then Batista clotheslines the ring post. They both try to get back into the ring and Kennedy kicks Batista to the floor from the apron and the referee counts out Batista.

Winner: By count out, Mr. Kennedy

The Aftermath:
After the match, Batista tries to give Kennedy a Batista Bomb, but Kennedy escapes the hold and he reminds Batista that he won the match.


WrestleMania 23:
We are back with highlights from the Wrestlemania 23 Pep Rally. We hear from Shawn Michaels, Edge, Big Show, Randy Orton, King Booker, Batista, and John Cena. Cole says that there were more than 3,500 fans at Ford Field for the rally.


Simon Dean vs. Vito
Referee: Charles Robinson

The Start:
Vito greets Simon Dean outside the ring with punches and then he throws Simon into the ring. Dean with a drop kick while Vito returns to the ring. Dean punches and kicks Vito. Dean with an Irish whip followed by a shoulder tackle into the corner. Dean with more kicks but Vito punches back. Dean with a forearm to Vito followed by a suplex attempt but Vito blocks it and he connects with forearms. Simon with a knee and a double stomp to Vito’s abdomen for a two count.

The Finish:
Dean with a seated abdominal stretch. Vito with a belly-to-back suplex followed by clotheslines Vito with a reverse atomic drop followed by a flying forearm. Vito charges into a back kick from Simon and then Simon goes for his bag while the referee checks on Vito. The referee stops Dean from using the foreign object. While the referee discards that object, he tries to use the bag, but Vito blocks him and gets hits a DDT. Vito with a key lock and Dean taps out.

Winner: Vito


Backstage:
Mike Mizanin is standing outside of Rey’s locker room as we go to commercial.

Backstage:
We are back and Rey is with the Miz. He wants to know what Rey thinks about Chavo betraying him at the Bash. Rey says the only thing on his mind right now is winning back the World Title.


Tatanka vs. Sylvan
Referee: Nick Patrick

We get some comments from Sylvan on his way to the ring that were pre-recorded. Sylvan says that there is still time to spend you summer in Quebec.

The start:
Tatanka sends Sylvan into the corner but Sylvan comes out with a kick and a side head lock. Tatanka with a side head lock and a shoulder tackle but Sylvan stays up. Tatanka chops Sylvan and he follows that with a hip toss and slam. Sylvan goes outside the ring to regroup. Sylvan with a thumb to the eye and then he runs Tatanka’s arm into the ring post. Sylvan sends Tatanka into the ring steps before he returns to the ring.

Mid-match notes:
Sylvan goes back outside the ring before rolling him back into the ring. Sylvan works on Tatanka’s arm but Tatanka gets back to his feet and he chops Sylvan. Tatanka misses a charge and Sylvan with a belly-to-back suplex slam for a two count. Sylvan works on Tatanka’s arm and then hits a divorce court on the arm before returning to the arm. Tatanka with a back body drop and then he circles Sylvan and chops him.

The Finish:
Tatanka with a slam and then he goes up top but Sylvan meets him with a drop kick as Tatanka comes off the top turnbuckle. Sylvan punches Tatanka followed by an Irish whip. Tatanka with a Samoan drop for a two count. Tatanka misses an elbow and Sylvan goes for Tatanka’s tomahawk. The referee takes it and then Sylvan hits a low blow followed by a TKO for the three count.

Winner: Sylvan

The Aftermath:
After the match, Sylvan drops Tatanka’s headdress to the floor.


Backstage:
Ashley and Jillian walk down the hall as we go to commercial.


Jillian Hall vs. Michelle McCool
Referee: Chris Kay

The start:
Michelle comments on Jillian’s physical appearance and Jillian tries to slap Michelle, but Michelle blocks it and she responds with a slap of her own. Jillian with a forearm followed by a kick in the corner. Jillian with an Irish whip and she tries for a handspring back elbow into the corner, but Michelle with an elbow for a two count. Michelle with a rear chin lock and Jillian tries to escape with elbows but Michelle pulls Jillian down by her hair and hits a backbreaker for a two count.

The Finish:
Michelle misses an elbow drop and Jillian with a drop kick to Michelle’s back. Jillian with a handspring back elbow. Jillian punches Michelle in the corner followed by a monkey flip. Jillian with a cross body from the second turnbuckle and then Jillian smothers Michelle in her chest followed by a rollup for a two count. Michelle with a kick to Jillian but Jillian with a Samoan drop. Jillian misses a leg drop and Michelle gets the three count with help from the ropes.

Winner: Michelle McCool


Backstage:
Sharmell cordially invites everyone to join her for the grandest coronation in WWE history.

Backstage:
We see Chavo Guerrero get ready for his interview in the studio as we go to commercial.

Backstage:
We are back with footage of photos of Chavo Guerrero hitting photos of Rey Mysterio at the Great American Bash to help King Booker win the World Title. Chavo is on the Fist-O-Tron screens and Michael Cole wants to know why Chavo attacked Rey on Sunday night. Chavo says that he does not owe Cole or anyone an explanation. Cole wants to know if Chavo is afraid of Rey’s retribution. Chavo says that he is not in Detroit for personal reasons. He will be there next week to educate Rey Mysterio on the true meaning of Guerrero. Cole says that he is looking forward to next week.

In the arena:
Tony Chimmel introduces the new World Champion and his Queen. There is a fanfare for King Booker. A flower girl spreads flowers on the red carpet. King Booker and Queen Sharmell are led to the ring in a carriage. Balloons fall from the ceiling as Sharmell walks to the ring. Sharmell gets on the mic and she tells everyone to bow down to King Booker. Booker comes to the ring and he sits in his throne which has its own pyro. Booker thanks all of his loyal subjects. Booker starts to well up as he continues to speak. He says that before we get to the majestic crowning of a new king, he invites all of his loyal subjects to tonight’s festivities. He points out that he is the King of the World as well. From out of nowhere, Rey Mysterio attacks Booker and he kicks Booker. Rey kicks Booker into his throne and Rey hits a seated senton splash and then he punches Booker. The referees pull Rey from Booker, but Rey is able to break free and he hits a 619. Rey avoids the referees and heads to the back. We go to commercial.

Backstage:
William Regal and Fit Finlay are in the back. Regal mentions that they have known each other for twenty years. Regal says that he thought they became friends. He says that Finlay embarrassed him with his troll. Finlay tells him that it is a leprechaun. Regal tells Finlay that he knows what he can do to him. Regal tells Finlay that he will learn what makes him the world’s greatest Englishman. He is treacherous, and full of vile and venom, and a tough SOB. Finlay tells Regal that he is not Irish and he is in for a fight.


United States Championship Match
William Regal vs. Finlay (c)
Referee: Scott Armstrong

The start:
Finlay works on Regal’s neck and face before stomping on Regal’s hand. Finlay with a short arm clothesline for a two count. Finlay with a kick and European uppercut to Regal. Regal and Finlay exchange European uppercuts, but Finlay stomps on Regal’s hand. Regal tries for a sunset flip but Finlay stays up and he knees Regal in the head. Finlay with another European uppercut followed by a snap mare and seated splash.

Mid-match notes:
Finlay with a rear chin lock and Regal tries any method to escape. Regal backs Finlay into the ropes and Finlay with a thumb to the eyes followed by a forearm to the back and a shoulder tackle in the corner. Finlay slams Regal’s throat into the apron. Regal kicks Finlay in the head and the action goes outside the ring. Regal with a catapult that sends Finlay into the ring post. Regal returns to the ring and then he kicks Finlay as the champ tries to return to the ring. Regal with knees to Finlay’s head as Finlay returns to the ring. Regal with a back elbow and then he gets Finlay in a key lock and a crossface.

The Finish:
Finlay gets Regal up but Regal rakes Finlay’s face to escape and he hits a forearm. Regal with a butterfly suplex for a series of near falls. Regal punches Finlay in the head and gets another near fall. Regal with an Exploder suplex for a two count. Regal backs to the corner and he unties the turnbuckle pad. The referee talks to Regal and Little Bastard comes out and he hits Regal low with the shillelagh while the referee fixes the turnbuckle pad. Finlay with a rollup and a handful of Regal’s trunks for the three count.

Winner: Still United States Champion, Finlay

The Aftermath:
After the match, Regal tries to plead his case to the referee. Finlay slaps Little Bastard’s hand before he goes to the back.


In the arena:
Mike Mizanin is in the ring for the Diva Search Segment. Mike mentions that Maryse was eliminated on Monday. He tells us that despite her removal, there are still six contestants left. Mike mentions that tonight’s competition will be Musical Chairs. The contestants come out. Layla is the first to be eliminated. The next one eliminated is Jen. The third elimination is Erica. The penultimate elimination is Milena. The final contestant eliminated is Rebecca. JT is the winner and Rebecca wants to hit JT with the chair.

Backstage:
Teddy Long is on the phone and there is a knock at the HollaDoor. Paul Heyman enters and Teddy wants to know why Paul is here. Paul talks about how Teddy used his jurisdiction to get Big Show into the Punjabi Prison match. He calls that an abuse of power and an abuse of the ECW World Champion. Teddy wants to know what Paul is going to do about this. Paul extends an invitation for Teddy to travel to his jurisdiction, ECW. Why not have Teddy Long come to ECW and bring someone extreme enough to battle with the Big Show. Teddy says that Paul is on. Teddy says that he knows just the man to compete. That man is Batista. We go to commercial.


Matt Hardy vs. Sylvester Turkay
Referee: Charles Robinson

We are back Elijah Burke is in the ring and he introduces Sylvester Turkay.

The match:
Turkay with a take down and he punches Hardy before Matt makes it to the ropes. Hardy goes for the leg but Turkay does not go down. Turkay with a head lock take down followed by a knee to the back. Turkay works on Hardy’s arm with an arm bar and he adds a crossface. Hardy punches Turkay and they go into the corner. Turkay with a belly-to-belly suplex for a two count. Turkay continues to work on the arm as they go into the ropes. Hardy punches Turkay followed by knees and elbows. Turkay with a spinning back kick followed by a spinning back hand. Turkay with a key lock and Hardy taps out.

Winner: Sylvester Turkay

The Aftermath:
Afterwards, Terkay has to be forced off of Hardy by his manager, played by Elijah Burke.


World Heavyweight Championship Match
Rey Mysterio vs. King Booker (c)
Referee: Nick Patrick

The start:
Booker backs Rey into the corner and he knees and chops Rey. Rey gets out of the corner and he punches and kicks Booker. Rey with forearms but Booker with a rake of the eyes. Booker charges into a boot from Rey and then Rey with a sunset flip for a two count. Rey continues the attack with a drop kick for another two count. Rey with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow hold. Rey with a drop toe hold into the ropes and Booker gets out of the ring before Rey can hit the 619. We go to commercial.

Mid-match notes:
We are back and Booker with a kick to Rey. Booker misses a scissors kick. Rey responds with kicks and punches of ten in the corner. Booker misses a jumping side kick and he is crotched in the ropes. Rey with a baseball slide that sends Booker to the floor. Rey misses a pescado and Rey hurts his knee when he lands on the ground. Booker slams Rey’s head into the apron and then he rolls the challenger back into the ring. Rey checks on his knee. Booker with a super kick for a two count. Booker punches Rey and then backs him into the corner. Booker chops Rey in the corner followed by a hard Irish whip and Rey goes down to the mat and writhes in pain. Booker stands over Rey but Rey blocks a punch and he responds with punches of his own. Rey comes off the ropes but Booker hits a side slam for a two count. Booker works on Rey’s arm with a key lock but Rey gets to his feet. Booker with a knee to Rey followed by another chop. Booker misses a jumping side kick and Rey hits a satellite head scissors followed by kicks.

The Finish:
Rey hits the springboard seated senton but he only gets a two count. Rey hits a springboard cross body for another two count. Booker grabs Rey but Rey gets out of the hold. Rey with a kick to Booker and then he hits the Three Amigos vertical suplex combination. Rey shimmies and he goes to the apron but Sharmell gets up on the other side of the apron. Chavo Guerrero comes out and he pulls Rey off the apron and tosses him into the ringside barrier. Chavo helps Rey back into the ring and Booker gets the three count with the scissors kick while Chavo walks to the back.

Winner: Still World Heavyweight Champion, King Booker

The Aftermath:
Booker and Sharmell walk to the back while Rey is still down in the ring and we go to credits.
