UFC President, Dana White has explained that the UFC still could make match up between former Light Heavyweight champions, Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Tito Ortiz, as long as the doctors clear Ortiz to fight.

Speaking during the UFC 114 post-fight press conference, Dana said:

“As long as the doctors say he’s (Ortiz) safe to fight and he’s healthy enough to fight. They do amazing things these days.”

On the chances of seeing Ortiz vs. Liddell for a third time, Dana said:

“It could be possible, They did that season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter;’ we’ll see what happens.”

Ortiz was removed as a coach from the "Ultimate Fighter" after sustaining a neck injury. Rich Franklin took over as a coach and will be stepping in to fight Chuck Liddell at UFC 115 on June 12.
