A new viral video has been launched of students performing a choreographed Mexican wave-style routine while sitting an exam.

The clip was posted on YouTube by ChildLine to help students beat exam stress and give them a sense of perspective.

Unbeknown to the teacher, the students begin a series of synchronised Mexican waves which builds and turns into a full choreographed music and light show Mexican wave-a-thon.

Students from school and colleges all over London volunteered to be part of the video clip, many of them currently sitting exams.

Ian MacArthur, ChildLine's creative director and head of brand marketing, said: "Exams are important but our research shows that the top issue affecting young people is worries about exams or school work.

"We love the idea that young people will watch the video and share it so that if they feel stressed when walking into an exam, it might spring to mind and help them get a sense of perspective that helps them through the experience.

"It's important to us that our content can be entertaining as well as useful and, ultimately, it helps show that ChildLine is there for young people to turn to, whatever their worry."
