The St. Paul Pioneer Press features a note claiming Brock Lesnar is eyeing October for his MMA debut.

"Former Gophers NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion Brock Lesnar has been vigorously training near his home in Independence for an "ultimate fighting" match in October in Las Vegas. Former heavyweight boxer Scott LeDoux is training Lesnar, a former professional wrestler, for boxing, and Lesnar also has a mentor to help him improve his kicking skills," the paper reads.

The paper does not specify the organization for which Lesnar will fight, but both UFC and PRIDE have events set for Las Vegas in October. Previously speculation suggested Lesnar would be fighting for K-1 Hero's in that same month, but the show is scheduled for Japan.

According to the Wrestling-Observer, Lesnar spent some time with the Miletich camp in Iowa recently, and he is training actively in Minnesota at the same location as UFC's Sean Sherk.

Oh wow, that would be awesome to see him fight MMA. He isn't the only ex-proffesional wrestler to fight MMA though, l just forgot who the other guy was. Well everyone knows that Brock Lesner is a dominating wrestler, and he has the muscle capacity to be a powerful puncher, but l wonder what will happen when placed in the octagon with someone like Arlovski, or Sylvia. Or maybe even Monson. l am kind of excited for this.

Granted Lesnar is a former amateur wrestler, but he doesnt have any other skills. The days of one dimensional big men dominating the sport are over. I have a feeling that this is going to turn out the same way the NFL did for Lesnar, very bad and very embarrassing.
