IWA held their June 26 event, The Fifth Annual Jose Miguel Perez Cup, at the Jose ‘Pepin’ Cestero Arena at Bayamon. PRW reader Spartano 1 reported the action, as follow, with a great fans attendance, reported as well over 1500 fans.
1-Lash defeated Enigma with a small package.
2-Barbie Boy defeated Flex. Barbie, with his mannerisms stole the show and entertained a lot.
3-Rico Casanova defeated Papi Chulo Starke & Ash Rubinsky to retain the Caribbean Title on a Three Way match.
4-Gilbert defeated Noel Rodriguez to win the Intercontinental Title. Frick Stanley interfered, so Noel distracted with him. Then Gilbert attacked Noel with the kendo stick and won the match and the title.
5-Julian Jamrock defeated Stefano in a match where Mostro interfered several times to help Stefano.
6-Rick Stanley defeated Ricky Cruzz to win the Undisputed IWA Championship. Basically a wild match with several weapons used, such as a ladder, a street sign, a table, among others. Later Gilbert came in and blinded Cruz with powder and that was when Stanley used a back suplex against the ladder.
7-Xix Xavant defeated Spectro. Originally billed as being Xavant vs. Reisntein, was Spectro who came out from a casket.
8-Noel Rodriguez won the Jose Miguel Perez Cup and now earned the number 1 spot to face the IWA champion on any upcoming event. A lot of wrestlers participated, as well several indies.
9-Savio Vega defeated Joe Bravo with the ‘pain killer’ (super side kick)
