Cheryl Cole's reps have confirmed in a statement that she has cancelled work commitments for the next week.
Supersonic PR released a message on Twitter following the Girls Aloud star's collapse during a photoshoot on Saturday.
"Following doctors' advice Cheryl Cole will be canceling all work commitments for the next week. No further comment," read the message.
Since her split from footballer husband Ashley earlier this year, Cole has been filming X Factor auditions, touring and recording tracks for second album.
She was supposed to be appearing at the X Factor auditions later this week with Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger. It is expected that the auditions will continue without the 27-year-old and will a use a three-judge panel as they did in London in June.
