Japanese MMA veteran Caol Uno announced his move to featherweight and says his career could be coming to an end.

"I was challenging myself overseas for two years but I wasn't able to get a good result and I came back really sad," Uno said at Dream.15, according to the translation courtesy of HDNet. "But I still really want to improve myself and I want to return to the Dream ring one more time.

"I'm going to drop to featherweight. This could be my last fight, so please continue to support me."

The 35-year-old has amassed a 27-13-5 record since making his pro debut in October 1996. He's coming off a three-fight stint with the UFC, losing fights to Spencer Fisher, Gleison Tibau and fighting to a draw against Fabricio Camoes. Uno is a former Shooto 154-pound champion and twice challenged for the UFC lightweight title.

An opponent has not yet been determined. Dream.16 is targeted for September with a location to be announced.
