The clock keeps ticking and the day draws nearer as CZW prepares for it's August 7th debut at the ROBESON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS in Lumberton, North Carolina. Officials have already begun to pack up the Combat Zone and prepare it for its maiden voyage to the Tar Heel State for a night full of authentic, ULTRAVIOLENT action... CZW Style! Late this afternoon, CZW learned of 2 new matches added to August 7th's "SOUTHERN VIOLENCE" event....
- Former CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion SABIAN has been increasingly bitter as of late. The recently dethroned king of the Junior Heavyweight scene is midway thru his self-titled "Burn Your Boots" Summer Tour, which makes it's next stop on August 7th in Lumberton, North Carolina, and as seen in a video aired first on CZWrestling.com, "Killadel's Finest" has his sights set firmly on TYLER VERITAS as his hand selected opponent at Southern Violence. It's not hard to figure out Sabian's motives here... he is still obsessed with Tyler's best friend Adam Cole, and the fact that he not only couldn't beat him, but also his lost his precious Junior title to him in the process. In the eyes of Sabian, a victory over HDTV would go a long way in sending a message to Cole, a message that the Blk Jeez hopes Cole will eventually have to answer. Of course, HDTV is no slouch. The former WIRED CHAMPION has stepped his game up to the next level in 2010, and is no longer a "former amatueur wrestling standout", but instead a legit "professional wrestling superstar". Can HDTV score one for his friend, or will BLK Jeez take the next step back towards his throne?
- As announced exclusively on CZW last week, Adam Cole was set to square off one-on-one in a special challenge match against Ricky Reyes on August 7th. However, due to circumstances out of CZW's control, Reyes is now unable to make the event. In his place, CZWrestling has learned that Rush Wrestling Enterprises CEO Rodney Rush has somehow negotiated a rematch from CZW's July event, which will pit Adam Cole defending his Championship against Ryan Slater in one-on-one action. Can Rush Wrestling Entreprises take advantage of another huge opportunity? Can Cole stay on top of the one of the most competitive divisions in wrestling? We find out on August 7th!
