As CZW continues to roar through another Summer of Ultraviolence on the road to Cage of Death, the Combat Zone has been riddled of late with controversy coming from the camp of Cult Fiction, surrounding mostly on it's leader Billy Gram. As was noted first on CZWrestling in recent weeks, and further verified by his absense at July's "Home Sweet Home" event, Billy Gram has quit the Combat Zone. In a video seen first on the TOD DVD Gram unleashed a profanity laced tirade towards CZW management, the locker room and its fans, and in effect quit the company on the spot. In the weeks that have followed, Gram's absense has affected the remaining Cult Fiction members, resulting in a devastating tag team loss by Masada and tHURTeen to the Suicide Kings, and setting the group into a state of uncertainty regarding its future. Gram has followed up his absense with a series of online rants against the company that he once so proudly was a part of. CZW owner DJ Hyde has issued the following statement regarding Billy Gram's actions:

"A lot of fans have asked me in recent weeks if I, or somebody from CZW fired Billy Gram. Contrary to what Billy may want you to believe, Cult Fiction is a welcome part of the Combat Zone, and they are treated the same as everyone else. At no time did we 'fire' Billy or anyone from his group. Nobody from CZW has heard from him directly, and as of now we do not expect to see him at either of our August shows, or any future shows."
