UFC President, Dana White has confirmed today that the winner of the upcoming Welterweight rematch between Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves at UFC 117 on Saturday night will receive a Welterweight title shot.
Dana announced the news at the UFC 117 Press Conference, also saying that Fitch will fight his team mate, Josh Koscheck should both fighters win their upcoming fights.
UFC Welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre will defended his title against Koscheck at UFC 124 on December 11. The two will also be the coaches on the upcoming season of the "Ultimate Fighter."
