The two bouts scheduled for "UFC 118: Prelims" underwent changes yesterday, as Alessio Sakara and Terry Etim both suffered injuries that will force them out of their respective fights.

MMAFighting.com was able to confirm that Sakara would be replaced by Joe Vedepo and "'The Ultimate Fighter"' alum Gabe Ruediger would step in for the injured Etim.

Coincidentally, the start of Sakara's current win streak came at Vedepo's expense at "UFC Fight Night 15? almost two years ago when a head kick earned Sakara the win.

The other change will bring back one of the most intriguing TUF cast members, as Ruediger will now be fighting fellow lightweight Joe Lauzon after a rib injury put the Brit on the shelf.

Ruediger is probably best known for undergoing a colonic during the fifth season of TUF in order to make weight for his bout with fellow cast member Corey Hill. After failing to hit the mark, Ruediger was dismissed from the show.

Now riding a six-fight winning streak, Ruediger will look to make a splash in his return to the Octagon. It will be his first bout in the UFC since UFC 63 when Melvin Guillard blasted him with a wicked body shot.

"UFC 118: Prelims" will air an hour before UFC 118 takes place on pay-per-view. Once again, Spike TV will be broadcasting the bouts for free on August 28th from the TD Garden in Boston.
