MIESHA TATE VS. MAIJU KUJALA

Round 1 - Referee Ron Mation in charge of the evening's first fight. Tate throw s four punches early and moves immediately into the clinch. Kujala grabs an over-under and remains upright. Tate works in a few knees as she pushes her opponent to the cage, but Kujala spins off. Tate reverses again. Tate trying to change levels, but Kujala showing effective defensive wrestling. Tate grabs a high single and earns the takedown. Kujala tries to grab a guillotine as she falls, and she refuses to let go of the head even as Tate works out to the side. Mation calls for action, even as Tate looks for the "Von Flue choke" from the top. Just seconds left at the standup, and the round ends on the feet. MMAjunkie.com sees the first for Tate, 10-9.

Round 2 - Tate lands on the feet early, but Kujala bullrushes forward. Tate tags her with a flurry as she retreats. Kujala pushes into a Thai clinch and lands a few uppercuts, Tate swings away from the cage and pushes in. Knee from Tate, though Kujala fires one back. Tate releases and they reset. Tate just misses a big high kick. Kujala continues to work the jab as she focuses on her boxing. Tate moves to a clinch and uses knees. Tate misses on another high kick, and as Kujala moves in, Tate works a perfect takedown. Less than a minute, and in a fairly even round, it may have secured her the frame. Tate fires a few punches to the ribs as Kujala tries to hold a guillotine. Round ends, and MMAjunkie.com sees the second for Tate, 10-9, and the fight, 20-18. No shame for Kujala. Miesha Tate def. HITOMI AKANO VS. CARINA DAMM

Round 1 - Referee Neil Sarambock in the cage. Damm with an early high kick. Akano rushes in, but Damm spins to the back and takes the fight down. Akano rolls quickly to sweep, but Damm shows her grappling prowess as she rolls through as well and moves to top position. One minute in, and Akano works a closed guard. Damm keeps her posture low and lands a few shots to the ribs. Akano opens the guard and looks to work her legs up for a submission. Damm stays clear of the attempts and lands a nice right hand. Referee calls for a standup. Front kicks exchanged. Akano clinches up and lands a sweet toss to the floor. Damm rolls alertly to the back. Akano tries for a footlock, but she lets it go when she hears the 10-second whistle. Round ends there. Nice finish from Akano, but MMAjunkie.com sees it for Damm, 10-9.

Round 2 - Trading early, and Damm lands a spinning backfist. Clinch, and Akano trips Damm to the floor. Akano in half-mount with one minute left. Akano is very high, and Damm comes out the back. Akano transitions immediately into a triangle choke and then an omo plata. Damm escapes the trouble and moves to the top. Akano fires up her legs for a sweep and locks in an armbar. Damm bucks, but Akano rolls up top and keeps the hold in. Damm is trapped, and she's forced to tap. Excellent finish from Akano to set up what could be a spirited grappling exhibition with Tate. RYAN COUTURE VS. LUCAS STARK

Round 1 - Referee Ron Mation returns to the cage. Stark with an early mid-level kick. Couture throws jabs and straights, though Stark evades. Couture grabs the clinch and fires knees up the middle before securing a trip and moving to top. Couture transitions out to north-south for a choke, but Stark works to his feet. Stark now battles back with a nice fireman's carry takedown, but Couture immediately locks up the triangle choke. It's in deep, and Couture earns the quick tap. Ryan Couture def. Lucas Stark via submission (triangle choke) - Round 1, 1:15.

HITOMI AKANO VS. MIESHA TATE

Round 1 - Tate misses on an early kick. Akano does the same. Patient to open, though Akano lands a nice kick. Tate pushes a jab through, and Akano again answers with a kick. Into the clinch against the cage. Tate drops low but immediately slips to the back. The pair transitions to the ground, though Akano refuses to give up the back. Tate tries to muscle to the back. Akano spins through again and looks for an ankle lock. Tate defends well as Akano tries to crank the hold, but the hold is eventually released. Tate stands up and delivers a few punches before moving back in at the end of the round. Tight action in the three-minute rounds, but MMAjunkie.com gives it to Akano.

Round 2 - Traded kicks again early. Tate lands a stiff right hand. Tate moves into the clinch and again moves to the back. Akano scrambles underneath and tries to move away. Akano works to her knees, but the transitions continue as Akano rolls to escape, but Tate does a good job of remaining on the back. Tate teases a twister but works in both hooks. Akano controls the arms well. Referee lurking ever so closely as the two battle for position. Tate finally gets the left arm around the neck, but the chin looks in. Akano spins into the move, and Tate tries for the armbar. It's close but not quite there, and the round ends. MMAjunkie.com sees the second for Tate, 10-9.

Round 3 - Tate kicks to the body and moves to the back on a quick takedown attempt. Both hooks in. Akano again showing takedown defends by controlling the arms. Tate eventually works the left arm under the neck. Akano ensures the right arm doesn't connect and stays alive. Akano works to her knees, but Tate is latched to the back. Akano rolls forward, and Tate fires on a few punches, but she loses the hooks. Akano slides out the back door, and Tate looks for the keylock from the side. It's not there, but she works again to the back. Great sequence. Tate just stuck on the back. Akano trying to roll, but she'll finish the fight with Tate on her back. JOE RIGGS VS. LOUIS TAYLOR

Round 1 - Patient start by both. Taylor holds the center. Taylor misses a jab and connects with two kicks to the body. Riggs gets a quick single-leg, but Taylor pops up and pushes Riggs into the fence. Riggs looks hesitant to throw early. Taylor gets a takedown, and Riggs sets up in guard. Riggs secures the wrists and starts looking for an armbar. But there, but Taylor pulls away and returns to the feet. Riggs misses a Superman punch. Still tentative on the feet from both. Riggs does land a straight left. Taylor tosses a few kicks out, but they're more searching than anything. Right hand from Taylor. One minute left. Pace quickens a little, but still not frantic. Into the clinch, and Riggs lands a few knees. Round ends, and not too much between the two, but MMAjunkie.com favors Taylor slightly, 10-9.

Round 2 - Early break as Taylor doesn't have his mouthpiece. Taylor takes the center on the restart. Riggs works in a low kick and moves away. Riggs lands a superman punch. Taylor throwing wide shots, but they're blocked. Taylor mixing up the strikes, and an uppercut lands. Riggs looks to be waiting on a homerun shot. Taylor shoots in, and Riggs shoves it off. Riggs counters over a low kick. Halfway in. Taylor fires off a series of strikes, but they largely miss as Riggs shows nice head movement. Taylor into the clinch, but neither can set a dominant position. Taylor starting to loosen up a bit, though he has yet to score big. Taylor shoots in and gets the takedown and moves into half-mount. Riggs bucking underneath, and Taylor offering only a few short punches from the top. Taylor staying firm on top, and the round ends there. Again, not much between the two. Even the takedown yielded very little. MMAjunkie.com likes Riggs in the round on the early striking, 10-9, but the takedown may complicate things.

Round 3 - Could be anyone's fight as the third opens Taylor very loose, and he eats a big left hand. Taylor tries to clinch up after being obviously wobbled. Riggs overpowers him and moves to top position. Taylor underneath in half-guard, and he's against the cage. Riggs advances into a crucifix position and starts firing short lefts to the face.
