Hanoi - A Ho Chi Minh City man's penis was successfully reattached after his wife allegedly cut it off while he was sleeping, a surgeon said on Monday.
"It took me more than two hours to reattach his penis," said Dr Duong Quang Vu of Cho Ray General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. "Luckily, the operation was successful, and his penis will soon operate normally."
Vu said the victim's family reported the couple had argued over an extramarital affair he had.
The newspaper Tuoi Tre reported the victim had come home drunk on Sunday night and had broken several pieces of furniture while arguing with his wife.
After he went to sleep, she allegedly cut off his penis with a fruit knife.
Vu said police had arrested the man's wife.
