WWE Results, Cohasset Ma. 8-28

A near sellout in this venue that seats 2250.

The Fink is our ring announcer.

Goldust d. Luke Gallows when Hornswoggle causes a distraction and Goldust hits the Curtain Call as Gallows turns around. After the match, Hornswoggle goes to the top turnbuckle and gives Gallows a big splash. Goldust and Swoggle pose for the crowd.

NXT Challenge: Michael McGillicutty d. Kaval. A very fast paced matchup. Missed the finish. Both men shake hands after the bell.

JTG d. Primo. Crowd not really into this although Primo did draw a lot of heat. Jack Swagger hits the ring and beats down JTG before slapping on the ankle lock. Swagger goes into a "Bad Man" promo which leads to...

Swagger d. Chris Masters in a submission match. Numerous attempts by Masters to apply the Masterlock, but Swagger manages to stay out of the hold. He finally hits the ankle lock and Masters taps out.

Raw Challenge Match: John Morrison d. Ted Dibiase. A classic match between these two as we have seen before. Morrison hits Starship Pain to pick up the win.

Intermission

6 Diva tag match: Gail Kim and the Bella Twins d. Maryse, Jillian, and Rosa Mendez. The girls all came down in Bikini tops and shorts carrying beach balls, swimmies and pool floats. They all appeared to be "out of character" as they simply had fun and all laughed with each other during the match. The Bellas pulled the switch behind the refs back and Jillian gets rolled up for the win.

R Truth d. Cody Rhodes. Rhodes cut a great promo on the crowd as to why he is dashing and we were not. A lot of back and forth in this match. Missed the finish, not sure how Truth picked up the win.

Vickie Guerrero comes out with her typical "Excuse Me!" I think the crowd wanted to punch this woman. She introduces Dolph Ziggler as we head into the main event of the evening, a Fatal 4 Way for the Intercontinental Title. Dolph Ziggler d. Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston, and Matt Hardy to retain the title. This was a very "face' v "heel" match as Ziggler and McIntyre worked together and Kingston and Hardy constantly had each others backs. Everyone got in their finishers and usual high spots throughout the match. The finish came when Ziggler ducked the Trouble in Paradise and Hardy got kicked in the face. Ziggler shoved Kinston out of the ring and covered Hardy for the win. McIntyre took off as Hardy and Kinston beat down the IC champion after the match. Ziggler continued to lay on his face in the ring as the crowd filed out.

My friend and I were in the last 50 people to leave the tented venue as we wanted to see how long he was going to stay there. Charles Robinson and security began to dismantle the ring around him. About 20 minutes after the match he finally got up and was helped to the back by Vickie. Pretty funny stuff.

Biggest pops: Kofi Kingston, R Truth and John Morrison
Biggest heat: Vickie Guerreo, Jack Swagger, and Cody Rhodes
