I attended last night's Deep South Wrestling TV taping in McDonough, Georgia at the DSW school. Sorry there are late but I had to work two shifts today! Anyway, here we go:

Dark Matches:

*Bradley Jay pinned Antonio Mestre.

*Damien Steele and Ray Gordy def. Joseph and Johnny Slaughter when Gordy hit the exploder suplex on Johnny Slaughter.

*"Uptown" Frankie Capone scored his first DSW victory over Steve Madison with the K5.

*At Intermission, Palmer Cannon complained about getting a DSW title shot on short notice. Out came the Assassin to say Cannon wanted competition, so he got it.

TV Tapings:

*MVP defeated Antonio Mestre.

*The Freakin' Deacon beat Scott Fantastic with the Willow's Web (cobra clutch). When he wouldn't release the hold, out came Dalip Giant Singh, who got Deacon off Fantastic, put him in a bear hug, and dominated over the Deacon.

*Derrick Neikirk and Mike Knox came out and cut a promo with Krystal Marshall about putting Mike Taylor out of action. Tony Santarelli came out to confront Team Elite, and was beaten down when Mike Taylor came out to a huge pop and took out both Team Elite Members.

*The Gymini defeated "Roughhouse" O'Reilly and Silverback with the crosstrainer on Silverback.

*Mike Knox defeated Tony Santarelli in a #1 contenders match, with 8 other wrestlers surrounding the ring to prevent outside interference. When Taylor and Neikirk came out brawling, the other wrestlers surrounded them, pushing them to the back. Using the distraction, Kid Kash clubbed Santorelli in the back of the head, setting up Knox to finish him off with the WhipIt.

*Derrick Neikirk pinned Palmer Cannon to retain the DSW heavyweight Championship.

Notes: The Road to WrestleMania Tour Stop comes to the DSW arena Thursday, February 9th from 4-7 PM. The DSW arena opens up at 6:45 PM and the show that night starts at 7:30 PM....the show drew a standing room only crowd of 300+ fans. They took some chairs from the locker room for some of the fans. Another fun night!
