Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been arrested in Las Vegas following the domestic violence claims made by his baby mama.

As we first reported, Josie Harris called the police at around 5 AM yesterday from her home in Vegas -- and when cops arrived she told them the professional boxer had attacked her and threatened to kill her.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Mayweather was arrested and booked for grand larceny related to the domestic incident. According to the report, Mayweather allegedly took personal items from Harris' house.

Mayweather reportedly has not been arrested for domestic violence -- at least not yet.

UPDATE: Mayweather was booked and held on $3,000 bail.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s baby mama claims the boxer struck her "multiple times in the head with his fist" and then threatened to kill her ... this according to documents obtained by TMZ.


Josie Harris went to court yesterday and filed a request for a restraining order against Mayweather -- and in the docs she states that Floyd came into her Las Vegas home Thursday morning and awoke her by, "pulling me by my hair and throwing me on the ground in my living room and began punching me in my head."

She claims Floyd then began "dragging me on the floor and twisting my arm back ... in attempt to try and break it."

According to the documents, Josie claims Floyd "continued to beat me in front of [the couple's three children]."

Josie claims that Floyd threatened the children -- saying if they "ran or tried to call the police he would beat them the same way."

In the docs, Josie also says Mayweather "yelled and screamed that he was going to kill me and my boyfriend and make sure we are taken care of."

Interestingly -- Josie claims, in the docs, Mayweather had been at the house roughly two hours before the alleged attack -- and was yelling at her about her new boyfriend.

Josie claims she had to call police ... who arrived and escorted Floyd out of the home.

But according to Josie, the boxer didn't stay away ... and Mayweather re-entered the home through her son's side bedroom door -- and that's when the alleged attack went down.

So... my question is where is the proof? I want to see the bruises and contusions, possibly open wounds from such a savage beating. I want to see the strands of hair all over the floor, I want to read the testimony of the children who supposedly saw this and were threatened during it.

Not to be insensitive, as I know this happens a lot, but unless there is proof then it's just another baby mama making up stories to get her baby daddy thrown in jail because he didn't act like a b!*#h and do whatever she ordered him to do. I hate hearing about women like that. It doesn't help things that Mayweather is famous and has sh!tloads of money! It seems convenient, is all, that they fight about HER boyfriend and HIS a$$ gets thrown in jail for supposedly assaulting her. Seems to me its the same old b.s. about baby mama getting her revenge.

agreed if mayweather was hitting her she would be busted up and from what ive seen hasnt really looked like any injuries this is kinda like the tito ortiz incident everyone condemmed tito then when they realized nothing happened they kinda swept it under the rug so untill i see some injuries i think she is lieing

Dude look at him! That is not the face of a guilty man. He knows it's all b.s. hell maybe he's in on it for the publicity. I think that's the case wit Ortiz/Jameson incident too. I still can picture her outside her house, lecturing and acting like the public face for abused wives... please!
