Wayne Rooney has reportedly been reunited with wife Coleen and has returned to their marital home.
According to The Sun, the England footballer has been given a final chance by his 24-year-old childhood sweetheart after allegedly cheating on her with a prostitute during her pregnancy.
A close source further revealed that Wayne had been relegated to sleeping on the sofa, and had received a warning from Coleen and her family that he risked never seeing his 10-month-old son Kai again if he continued to stray.
"It's a slow process, a healing process," the source explained. "Coleen wants to make it work and so does Wayne. But they are in their home together and they are talking everything through. They are both bending over backwards to try and sort it out. They know they have to.
"Coleen knows that there will be women all over the country urging her to dump Wayne. But she has done a lot of soul-searching and is now feeling stronger and ready to move back in.
"But she's made it a condition that if there is just one more girl or any more revelations their marriage is finished."
The source also suggested that Coleen had sought a reconciliation with her husband for emotional support after her disabled sister suffered a stroke last week.
"Coleen realises she needs Wayne's help," the insider explained. "She can't deal with that by herself."
