Evil Possesses Halloween 'Costume'

Word has it offers are being made on a new horror spec from writer Carter Blanchard entitled Costume. The big catch is that this new horror icon will kick off a brand new franchise. With Saw supposedly ending, we really could use something fresh. Anyhow, the story takes place on Halloween night where a a costume surfaces that possesses whomever puts it on. Think about that: the killer can never die. Genius anyone? Hoping to hear a major studio gets behind it. Blanchard also penned Dead Asleep for Jonathan Liebesman and New Line Cinema, along with Near Death for Fox Searchlight.
