9/23 - 2 New Matches added to CZW's loaded October 9th and October 16th events!

It’s officially the fall season, and we are officially one step closer on the road to December’s CAGE OF DEATH 12! It’s been a busy day at CZWrestling.com. Late this afternoon, we received confirmation on two more huge matches added to our loaded October event schedule, which includes our big October 9th return to South Philly for “It’s always Bloody in Philadelphia”, and again a week later when we debut on October 16th in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts! Let’s review the new additions to the fall schedule…

The CZW Tag Team Tournament has reached the Semi-Finals, which means we are now down to just four teams with a shot to claim ownership of the now vacant CZW World Tag Team Championships. The four teams remaining have been on fire as of late, with the OSIRIAN PORTAL, the RUNAWAYS (Gacy and Slater), PHILLY’S MOST WANTED (Sabian and Joker), and IRISH DRIVEBY (McBride and Swann), all hitting their stride as we close in on the final rounds of the tourney. On October 9th, one member of each team will enter a special 4-Way Showcase match, pitting a member of each the remaining teams against each other with priceless momentum on the line. The following members have been selected, and on October 9th they will represent their teams as JOKER, AMASIS, RICH SWANN, and RYAN SLATER and will collide in a 4-Way with one fall to a finish! Who can take that next step towards the gold?!

With each passing day, the anticipation grows for our big Massachusetts debut on October 16th in Tyngsboro. The lineup for the event is slowly starting to fill in, and today we have learned of another very competitive bout. Continuing the build in the tag team tournament, two of the remaining four teams from opposite brackets will meet in Non-Tourney action in what could be a preview of the eventual finals if both teams should advance. Meeting in New England on that day will be Irish Driveby (Ryan McBride and Rich Swann), and the newly formed Runaways of Joe Gacy and Ryan Slater. It’s non-tourney, but the outcome could go a long way in determining who eventually reigns supreme in CZW’s most tightly contested Tournament in years. Which team can make a statement heading into November’s semi final matchups? We find out on October 16th when CZW invades New England!

In addition, the wrestling world is still abuzz over the events that unfolded a month ago at CZW’s “Down with the Sickness” event. Among the highlights, Drake vs. Masada, a unbelievable 4 way including Sami Callihan, Joker, Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano, more tag team tourney matches and a breathtaking Aerial Assault Ladder Match to pay tribute to the fallen Chris Cash. If you missed the event, now is your time to catch up as we are proud to announced that the event is now available on DVD from our good friends at SMART MARK VIDEO!

- Stay tuned to CZW for more on our big October 9th return to South Philly! In addition, we will have more exclusive news and videos from the CZW locker room, as well as more announcements regarding our October 16th debut in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, and our November debut in GERMANY! Talent roster and matches for our return to Europe will be made available this week, with matches to follow shortly thereafter.
