MARK HUNT VS. SEAN MCCORKLE

Round 1 - No touch of the gloves. Hunt swings first and lands a solid uppercut from close distance. McCorkle shoots, but Hunt stuffs it and takes top position. McCorkle secures guard and tries to power his way to a reversal. He can't get it, but he grabs an arm and torques the kimura from his back and eventually forces the tap-out. Sean McCorkle def. T.J. GRANT VS. JULIO PAULINO

Round 1 - A few jabs early. Lots of dancing 30 seconds in. Grant throws a leg kick, but 45 seconds in, the boo birds ain't happy. Grant throws some knees from the clinch, and Paulino desperately tries to defend. Grant maintains the hold and then drags his opponent to his knees with the front head lock. Grant looks to take his back. Grant softens him up with some head punches, and the fighters drift to north-south position. Grant stays on top as Paulino remains kneeling. The pace slows, and the Indy fans want some action. Grant's just being patient and methodical, though. Paulino grabs a leg, and Grant pops him with a couple punches. The awkward positing eventually results in Grant in the seated position, but he escapes, takes his opponent's back, rolls over, and looks for the rear-naked choke. Grant doesn't tighten a body lock and has a loose guard, and Paulino is defending well against the choke. Paulino nearly rolls over, Grant finally secures the body triangle, but Paulino fights his way through and takes top position. Grant wraps him up in guard, and the fans applaud the effort. Grant, though, powers his way free and takes his opponent's back again. Paulino is face first into the mat, but Grant's guard is high. However, he gets in his hooks, but Paulino scrambles to his feet before the round ends. It's a strategic first round that MMAjunkie.com scores 10-9 for Grant on overall control.

Round 2 - Paulino works his jab from distance. However, Grant checks his body kick and shoves him into the mat. Grant pulls his legs out from under him, and Paulino clings to a guillotine as he falls to his back. It's loose, and Grant uses the opportunity to move into side control. He breaks free of the choke, and Grant moves into north-south position, which draws some uncomfortable groans from our male attendees. Grant returns to side control, and when he again tries north-south, Paulino escapes to his feet. Grant, though, shoots and quickly takes him back down. Paulino again tries the guillotine choke, but it allows Grant to move into half guard. Paulino tries to escape, but Grant pins him down, and the crowd becomes a bit restless. Grant moves into side control, but Paulino reverses and takes top position. Grant ignores the advice from the drunken idiot sitting behind me to "punch him more." But when Grant gets to his feet, Paulino does, in fact, "punch him more." Grant, though, quickly drags him back to the mat, moves into mount position, flattens out his opponent, and delivers punches to the midsection. Paulino pulls him close to keep him from posturing up, but Grant grabs an armbar before the round ends. He doesn't have the position or the time, but MMAjunkie.com gives Grant the round anyway, 10-9.

Round 3 - A touch of gloves gets the final round underway. Paulino swings for body shots, checks a kick, and trips Grant to the mat. He waits for him to stand back up. Paulino tests his hands, but Grant shoots. Paulino defends, delivers a punch from the clinch, but Grant drags him to his knees and takes his back. Paulino tries to roll to keep him on his side and uses the cage to aid him. Grant remains glued to him, but Paulino does, in fact, escape. Grant quickly corrals him, uses a front headlock, drags him to his knees again, and then rolls him over and works from top position. The pace slows as Grant catches a breather from top position. However, he hops to his feet and throws punches to his downed opponent. Paulino deflects, and Grant returns to half guard. Grant looks to move to mount but settles for side control. Little action as Grant works on position rather than damage. Grant nearly gets mount, but Paulino nearly escapes and gets caught in a scissor hold. Grant turns it into a triangle choke. Paulino escapes, though, and takes top position. Nice sequence there. Paulino postures up and delivers some punches. Grant tries to power his way out and nearly sweeps his opponent, but Paulino delivers punches to the midsection. Grant works through it and reverses the position to move into side control before the round ends. It's another round for Grant, 10-9, for what should be a 30-27 win. Not the flashiest win, but he got the job done. T.J. Grant def. Julio Paulino via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

STEVE LOPEZ VS. WAYLON LOWE

Round 1 - No touch of the gloves. Lopez tests his reach advantage with jabs. Lower charges in and connects but eats a counter right before the fighters reset. More circling as each waits to engage. Lopez connects on an inside leg kick. Lowe moves in with a right but eats a couple more low kicks. Lowe dashes in with a right to the body and just as quickly moves back out. Lopez lands another low kick and then another a little later. Lowe shoots, eats a punch, but keeps at it and finally drags Lopez to the mat. Lowe works from inside full guard but can do little as the lankier Lopez wraps him up. Lowe, though, creates distance to land a few elbow strikes. The pace again slows, but Lowe stands and misses on a punch. The ref calls for a restart, and we're standing again. Lopez throws another low kick. Lopez throws another and just ducks under a right. Both fighters still hesitant to be the first to engage. Lowe scores another takedown, though, but Lopez pulls him tight and avoids any damage before the round ends. Not much action, but the takedowns earn Lowe a close 10-9 win in the first round.

Round 2 - Lopez works the jab, but he remains at a distance. Lots of circling. Lowe moves in and misses, and Lopes misses with the counter. The crowd becomes restless over the duo's cautious fighting. Lowe moves in just as Lopes ducks, and they collide but break before anything connects. Lopez lands a low kick, but Lowe pushes him back with a right. Lopez lands a right, but he circles away, and the pace slows again. Lowe throws some jabs. Lowe shoots, but Lopez stuffs it and delivers a knee to the chest before they separate. Lopez throws a right and eats a quick left counter. Both fighters swing haymakers that miss before resetting. Lowe shoots again, grabs a single leg, and finally gets the takedown. But Lopez secures a triangle on the way to his back. Lowe escapes and then moves into side control. Lopez ties him up to avoid damage, but Lowe finds success with a string of knees to the midsection. Lopez tries to roll and then pulls his opponent into full guard. Lowe is too low with his position and eats a quick burst of elbows to the dome. Lopez then tries heel hooks to the kidneys, but Lowe shakes them off. It's another action-light affair, but Lowe does just enough to take it, 10-9.

Round 3 - The fighters open with the familiar jabs before Lowe's takedown is stuffed. Lopez lands a cross right and then delivers a knee to the midsection before Lowe tosses him to the mat. Lowe briefly takes the mount position before Lopez quickly maneuvers and secures half guard. Lowe delivers a few punches from top position while looking to improve to mount. Lopez keeps him locked up from his back and then controls his wrists to avoid punches. Lowe frees himself and delivers a couple quick punches. Lopez tries to create distance with his knees, and both fighters connect with punches. Lowe opens a huge gash on Lopez's forehead, and we've got a bleeder. The pool of blood wakes the Indy crowd, and Lopez quickly looks like a cherry lollipop as the blood envelops his head. Lowe delivers more punches, but Herb Dean calls for a stand-up. He then checks the cut and calls for a doctor. The blood is absolutely gushing for Lopez's head, but the fights is allowed to continue. Lopez counters with a right that lands, but the blood is blinding him. Lopez lands a coupel nice low kicks and but can't stuff a final takedown. PAT AUDINWOOD VS. THIAGO TAVARES

Round 1 - Audinwood light on his feet as Tavares takes the center of the cage. Audinwood circles and circles before missing on a high kick. Tavares clips with a right hand that just misses. Tavares ducks under a punch, shoots, and presses Audinwood against the cage while delivering punches. Audinwood initially doesn't go all the way down, but Tavares muscles him there. Working from full guard, Tavares quickly looks to improve. Audinwood uses buttefly guard to deliver a solid elbow. Tavares then lifts his opponent over his head and slams him to the mat, though Audinwood braces well for the impact. Tavares stands over his downed opponent and tries to drop punches, but Audinwood's long legs keep him at bay. Tavares drops down to full guard, and he gets through some punches from close range. Tavares postures up again and connects and then drops to down to deliver more hammerfists. Tavares frees a leg and moves into side control. Audinwood powers his way to his feet, but Tavares locks in a guillotine. Audinwood remains standing and tries to break free but relents and taps out. Thiago Tavares def. JOEY BELTRAN VS. MATT MITRIONE

Round 1 - Indy fighter Mitrione gets a nice round of applause. Mitrione forces Beltran into a corner and throws the first punches. The jabs continue and lands a nice one. Beltran circles away. Mitrione stalks and continues the punchyes, but Beltran is defending. Mitrione light on his feet. He looks to paint Beltran into the corner and is the clear aggressor. Beltran wings a nice right, but Mitrione counters with a combo. The fighters reset, and Mitrione lands a nice inside leg kick. Mitrione fires off a nice co combo and then goes with a head kick that partially connects. The crowd loves it. Beltran tries to compose himself, but Mitrione quickly follows with another barrage. Beltran, though finally answers and fires off dozens of punches even as Mitrione puts him in a Muay Thai clinch. Beltran then picks up and drops Mitrione to the mat. Beltran has a cut on his head, but it doesn't look too bad. Beltran starts swinging and nearly gets caught in a triangle but slips out. Beltran throws a few punches from top position while Mitrione looks for a kimura. He doesn't have the position, and Beltran forces him back into the fence while delivering punches from the top. Beltran's had a big loose string of tape hanging from his gloves. He then stands and drops into side control and then north-south. It's tea time as Beltran delivers punches to the midsection. Beltran postures up as Mitrione secures a triangle, but Beltran quickly escapes and moves back to side control. It's a hugely entertaining first round. Beltran gets it 10-9 on the MMAjunkie.com scorecard.

Round 2 - A nice ovations gets the second round underway. The fighters circle. Mitrione with a low kick, and Beltran backs him into the cage with punches. Beltran grabs his hips, but Mitrione breaks off and delivers a punch in the process. The fighters reset and catch their breath. The pace slows a bit, but both are looking to head hunt. Both connect on some sloppy punches, but they do damage. Great exchange from both fighters, and both again connect before breaking. Mitrione with a great counter combo, and Beltran's briefly wobbled. Mitrione goes headhunting and gets popped with a big shot of his own. Beltran then presses him into the cage. The tape is dangling again from Beltran's glove as he delivers a knee to the midsection. Mitrione creates distance with a nice combo, and a timeout is called to fix Beltran's glove. Two minutes to go. Mitrione walks him down and delivers a nice right. Beltran circles and then eats a straight right. Mitrione lands a leg kick but doesn't have much behind it. Beltrn unloads a combo. Mitrione swings back but takes the brunt of it. Beltran pushes him into the fencing, and both get a bit of rest. The fighters jockey for underhooks, and Mitrione lands a nice right on the break. Mitrione lands a front kick and just whiffs on a head kick before the round ends. It's another exciting one, and Mitrione comes back, 10-9, to tie it up.

Round 3 - Can the big guys keep up a nice pace? A touch of gloves gets us started. Mitrione asks the ref something, but the matter is quickly resolved. Mitrione strikes first with a combo, but Beltran answers. Mitrione paws his jab and is backed up with a high kick. Mitrione swings from distance before partially connecting on a high kick. Beltran throws a soft low kick that misses. Mitrione backs him up with a front kick and whiffs on a big right. Mitrione smiling at his opponent now. Mitrione goes low with a kick and then resets. Beltran tries to bullrush with overhand punches but doesn't have the speed or energy. He then moves in again, and Mitrione counters with a left-right before resetting. Mitrione is clearly the aggressor and walks down his opponent. Beltran answers with a left, though. Mitrione works jabs, and Beltran's nose now looks a mess and likely broken. Mitrione throws a big left that misses but keeps the pressure on. Jabs connect, and Beltran is too slow to the punch. Mitrione goes high with a kick, but it's checked. Mitrione still quicker to the punch as he throws sporadic one-two combos. More jabs from Mitrione, and Beltran can't connect. He finally lands a few short punches and presses Mitrione into the cage. A frantic exchange of punches from both fighters puts the exclamation point on a fun and crowd-pleasing fight. MMAjunkie.com gives the third to Mitrione, 10-9, for a 29-28 win. Matt Mitrione def. JOE DOERKSEN VS. C.B. DOLLAWAY

Round 1 - The fighters circle, and Dollaway lands first with a jab. More circling as the fighters settle in. Doerksen catches a kick and takes Dollaway to the mat, but Dollaway reverses, grabs a guillotine, and rolls 180 degrees to his back. His body lock is tight, and Doerksen's red head is looking right at me. He looks OK, but Dollaway has it tight. Doerksen tries a punch, and Dollaway tries to tighten the hold. Doerksen tries to create breathing room. Dollaway's arms have to be getting tired, but Doerksen stays busy. There's a scramble, and Dollaway continually rolls and refuses to break the choke. He finally rolls Doerksen to his back and forces the fight-ending tap-out. C.B. Dollaway def. Joe Doerksen via submission (guillotine choke) - Round 1, 2:13.

The Beltran/Mitrione fight was great. Some good banging. Was surprised as hell just how nimble Mitrione still was at the end of the 3rd round. Must have a hell of a conditioning routine to be that active and quick as big as he is.
