WWE has announced via their official website that the WWE World Tag Team Championship has officially been retired. The website lists The Hart Dynasty as the final holders of the titles.
The WWE Tag Team Championship is now listed as the new name for the titles, as announced some weeks ago on Monday Night RAW. WWE.com has the first champions listed as Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, who won them on October 20, 2002.
